Freediving, or breath hold diving is a truly unique activity, perfectly suited to Australia's stunning coastline. The ability to dive below the surface on a single breath of air is a rewarding experience that everyone should be able to enjoy. Freedive Downunder offers courses and training for everybody from complete beginners to experts, young to old, fit to not-so-fit and everyone in between. If you are a scuba diver looking for a different underwater experience or to learn to conserve air whilst scuba diving, an underwater photographer, an enthusiastic snorkeller, spearfisher or surfer then a freedive course is the perfect solution to your underwater needs. Freedive Downunder teach courses accredited by AIDA International, the world governing body for freediving. AIDA certification courses are developed by a panel of expert freedivers, reviewed regularly and taught around the world. Courses include classroom theory, practical exercises and all emphasize safety in the water. Freedive Downunder courses are taught by Ben Noble, Australia's deepest freediver. Ben has many years experience freediving and holds 3 Australian records. He has dived with, trained and coached the world's best freedivers, and has worked with top researchers around the world in studies in freedive physiology. He is an AIDA International Judge and the only Australian AIDA Instructor. Details on courses can be found here. While we develop our new website in 2009, please contact us on info@freedivedownunder.com for information on courses and dates. |
